A few months back, Extreme E made public its official partnership with the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance via a press release. This alliance, operating as a non-profit entity under Monegasque governance, was established to promote the adoption of green hydrogen across various transportation sectors.

The objective is to advocate for the utilization of green hydrogen in land, air, and sea transportation. Ali Russell, CEO of Extreme E, conveyed excitement about the formal membership with the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance, emphasizing the vast potential of green hydrogen.

“We are delighted to become an official member of the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance. The potential for utilizing green hydrogen is enormous, and like the Alliance, we are committed to promoting sustainable and emissions-free mobility while significantly reducing our impact on the planet,” he said.

Extreme E: Pioneering Energy Solutions

Back in 2022, Extreme E unveiled its intentions to introduce a hydrogen-fueled off-road championship named Extreme H. Just this year, in collaboration with the FIA, the preeminent authority in motorsports, it unveiled a strategic plan to transform Extreme H into the inaugural worldwide off-road racing championship fueled by this groundbreaking energy source.

This move towards establishing a hydrogen-powered racing series epitomizes a seamless progression of Extreme E’s vision, centered on demonstrating the potential of cutting-edge innovations and technologies in addressing climate-related issues.

Extreme H aims to establish itself as a holistic platform for the exploration and advancement of emerging technologies and sustainable solutions. Moreover, it will leverage the potential of renewable hydrogen-based mobility to foster a beneficial environmental outcome.

“As the energy transition continues at pace towards a low-carbon future, it is crucial to collaborate with industry leaders and pioneers to deliver sustainable solutions that can have a huge impact, especially as we move towards Extreme H and the first global hydrogen race,” Russell concluded.
