Moto E: Dominique Aegerter dominates the simulation in Jerez

The Swiss Dominique Aegerter is still in great moment, and after being the fastest on the first day of testing of the MotoE World Cup at the Jerez Circuit, he swept the race simulation.

With the grid formed with the times of the first two sessions, Aegerter started in the lead and thanks to a good begin he managed to maintain the position while two of his theoretical great rivals, Eric Granado and Jordi Torres, made serious mistakes and were relegated to the end of group. Worse was Andrea Mantovani, who had to leave.

All this allowed Dominique Aegerter to take a distance of two seconds already in the first lap, which was scandalously increasing until prevailing with ten seconds of income, showing that he is a step above the rest. Specifically from the chasing trio made up of Miquel Pons, Alessandro Zaccone and Lukas Tulovic, who seemed destined to play second place.

However, the young Fermín Aldeguer continues to impress, arriving from a third group, he caught up with the aforementioned riders and overtake them to take second place, with Miquel Pons completing the table. Lukas Tulovic finished fourth with Xavi Cardelús fifth after getting rid of Alessandro Zaccone.

Jordi Torres managed to climb to tenth position just ahead of Eric Granado and María Herrera, who went from more to less finished twelfth.

In addition to the competition and despite the fact that the track was occupied by the MotoGP test teams – with the presence of Andrea Dovizioso on the Aprilia but without times – the day ended with another short 15-minute free session. Eric Granado recovered from his race by putting a 1: 47.681 that improves the record of Aegerter, who was second to two tenths.

The top 5 was completed by Lukas Tulovic, Xavi Cardelús and Jordi Torres, with Fermín Aldeguer seventh, Miquel Pons ninth and María Herrera 16th.
