There are people in the world who throughout history have changed the course of humanity in different fields such as medicine, technology, politics, among others. With respect to innovation and revolution in motorsports, Matthew Pearson, founder of Airspeeder, a series of flying electric cars, appears on the scene.

Australian-born Pearson is an entrepreneur focused on building Internet connectivity from space and boosting vertical mobility. He is currently working on Fleet, Airspeeder and Cordelia.

He is an expert in remote industry digitalization, focusing on constellation of nano satellites and electric aviation driving, a scheme he is applying in the work for the category he intends to bring to the public very soon.

Finding ways to embrace the flying vehicle revolution, with love for design, engineering and Big Pilot, defines the daily work for the visionary, who is based in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Pearson has a unique vision to accelerate the arrival of the electric flying cars promised to us in contemporary culture for generations.

After the success of his first goal, the entrepreneur took some time to tackle the next challenge. The result of his endeavors is a group of organizations functioning as a rapidly expanding global center of excellence in space and aerospace technology.

From that starting point, he is rapidly taking the Internet of Things everywhere through a growing network in low-Earth orbit across his at-risk fleet.

For more terrestrial limits, Matt founded Airspeeder, the world’s first racing series for electric flying cars in 2018 and Alauda, the manufacturer which built the ultimate performance eVTOL craft.

Breaking the traditional mold

“What excites me most about what I do every day is having the opportunity to change the world,” Pearson notes on the official Airspeeder website. The idea of the Australian and his team is not only to bring the world the first flying racing car, but also start a kind of Formula 1, where they will be able to develop, at first, competitions in different locations around the world.

Specifically about the prototype, Pearson detailed: “The Airspeeder Mk3 is the world’s first high-performance eVTOL craft and is the product of the best minds working together to accelerate a mobility revolution. The racing will take this a step further and we look forward to compete with elite teams to show the world the dynamic potential of these incredible machines.”

“Nothing drives innovation like racing. The world is ready for advanced aerial mobility and we are proud to make history by introducing the first racing series for flying electric cars.”

The company tasked with making it happen is Alauda Aeronautics, which will provide teams with a craft known as “Speeders.” Teams will have the freedom to set up drivers and create strategies.

Races will take place in remote locations around the world. The sliders are manned electric racing quadcopters capable of flying at speeds up to 200 kilometers per hour.
