From Extreme E to Water: Catie Munnings and Timmy Hansen to be Team Brazil drivers in E1 Series

Catie Munnings and Timmy Hansen have decided to dive into a new aquatic adventure as part of Team Brazil in the E1 Series, an unprecedented challenge for these talented rallycross drivers, who have mastered off-road terrain and they are currently competing in Extreme E.

Munnings has been a force in rallycross, standing out for her driving ability along with her role in promoting female participation in the sport. Originally from the United Kingdom, she has competed in a variety of competitions, earning the respect of the racing community and making her mark.

On the other hand, Hansen, a world rallycross champion, brings his experience and skills to the Brazilian team in the E1 Series. Born in Sweden, he comes from a family with deep ties to motorsport, with his father, Kenneth Hansen, being a rallycross legend.

Team Brazil in the E1 Series: A New Challenge

E1 Series, an electric boat racing championship, has gained popularity ahead of its debut thanks to its sustainable approach. By adopting electric motors and using renewable energy, it seeks to offer excitement while advocating greener practices in motorsport.

As such, the addition of Catie Munnings and Timmy Hansen diversifies the driver lineup and reinforces the idea that the E1 Series is a playground for all motorsport enthusiasts, regardless of their previous watersports experience.
