FIM E-Xplorer World Cup announced that the first stage of its second season will be held at the Expo’70 Memorial Park, located in Osaka, Japan, on February 17, 2024.

This event will mark the series’ foray beyond European borders, beginning its journey towards world championship status, highlighting innovative technologies and sustainable development by selecting Osaka as the venue for the start of a new campaign.

“The FIM E-Xplorer World Cup, which uses electric vehicles and mixed teams of men and women, will be held in Osaka, the site of the 2025 World Expo, and we are very excited to be able to hold the event,” said Tetsuo Suzuki, president of the Japan Motorcycling Federation.

Osaka presents itself as an urban environment that is home to a diversity of historic sites and landmarks, all integrated into a fast-paced and energetic metropolis. Over the weekend, E-Xplorer will race at the Expo’70 Memorial Park, located north of the meandering Yodo River that runs through the heart of the city.

This setting features more than 5,000 Japanese cherry trees, while the camp will be strategically located in front of the iconic Temple of the Sun in Festival Square.

“I am delighted to bring E-Xplorer to Japan, a country with an immense heritage in terms of motorcycle racing and technological innovation. Making our debut in Asia will leave a memorable mark of our championship on the motorsport world,” says Carina Munte, Co-Founder of the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup.

In closing, Suzuki added: “This event is a new type of team competition that is completely different from previous competitions, so it will develop new fans and create new star riders and teams.
