Formula E and the FIA confirmed the full driver lineup for season 10 of the World Championship, which begins with preseason testing in Valencia.

For the first time, rookie drivers will also test on track alongside their elite teammates.

The 22 drivers from 11 Formula E teams will return to the track at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit where, almost a year ago, the new GEN3 car was unveiled to world motorsport.

Since then, the electric race car has broken all Formula E speed records, while most days saw triple-digit overtakes.

More Experience

Drivers and teams will return to the track with a more solid understanding of the GEN3 car’s capabilities and ready to push its limits even further.

Preseason testing is the first opportunity for fans to see the drivers with their new teams and car designs.

Only three squads retain the same lineup as last season (TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, DS PENSKE and NIO 33 Racing) with many high-profile changes.

Some notable moves include Jehan Daruvala, Maserati MSG Racing: the 2023 Formula E rookie will make the step up to a full-time role following his success in Formula 2.

Nyck De Vries returns with Mahindra Racing, first joined to Formula E in 2019, where he immediately showed his world-class racing ability to take home the title.

Lucas di Grassi, the tournament’s centenary driver, returned to ABT CUPRA. Nick Cassidy, meanwhile, will drive for Jaguar TCS Racing. Last season’s world championship runner-up now shares a garage with Mitch Evans, who finished third just two points behind Cassidy, creating a formidable pairing.

For Nissan, Oliver Rowland marks his return to the all-electric series with his return to the Japanese manufacturer, while Sam Bird completes the NEOM McLaren lineup.

Likewise, Robin Frijins returns to Envision for Season 10, where he previously spent four years with the customer team and scored a fourth-place overall finish in the 2018-2019 season.
