Nissan Unveils New Headquarters to Prepare for Formula E

The Nissan Formula E team has already started its preparation for the tenth season that will start on January 13, 2024 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Mexico City.

Through its official website, the team announced its move to new state-of-the-art facilities, located in Paris.

“This relocation promises not only a change, but a bold leap into the future of electric racing. Leaving behind Le Mans, the team’s former home, this move highlights Nissan’s firm commitment to Formula E,” highlights the manufacturer’s press release.

Charging Batteries

As a farewell to its Formula E team’s original home at Le Mans, Nissan held its first event of campaign 10 there recently.

The Japanese company’s team drivers, Sacha Fenestraz and Oliver Rowland were on hand to showcase their preparation for the event.

The move is part of Nissan’s overall plan for its motorsports team, which has as its main premise: to strengthen the team’s capabilities and performance.

It also underlines the company’s strong commitment to both motorsports and the future of sustainable mobility, as priority continues to be given to world-class research and development.

Major Modifications

Tommaso Volpe, Nissan Formula E Team Principal noted that they finished season 9 on a high. “The changes we made started to have a positive effect on our performance.”

“We know there is still a long way to go to get to the top, which is our long-term goal for Gen3. In Season 10, we will try to pick up where we left off and continue to improve on the track, with the goal of fighting for the championship in the coming years,” he said.

Volpe assured that the move to the new facility is very important for the team, it is part of the plan to improve performance. “We already want to settle in and get back on track for the 10th season, which will start with preseason testing in October,” he noted.
