The debut of Formula E in India to welcome the Gen3 era of the category is on track, after the promoters of the sporting event finalized a key partnership that will bring the show to life.

The organizers announced that Greenko, one of the leading companies in energy transition and decarbonization, will be the official sponsor of the Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix 2023.

Greenko Group was founded in 2006 and is building and operating high quality renewable energy assets that replace fossil fuels with integrated decarbonized energy.

Aligned with Tournament Values

As the title sponsor of the historic first FIA-endorsed electric world championship motor race in India, Greenko is leading the way towards a decarbonized and sustainable future.

Greenko’s core values align with the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship‘s mission to accelerate towards a clean energy future.

The company will fully power the event with renewable energy, in line with Formula E’s net zero carbon strategy and RE100 commitment to achieve 100 percent renewable energy for the championship.

Fans attending the Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix 2023 will see local favorites Mahindra Racing and Jaguar TCS Racing compete against two iconic names in motorsport – NEOM McLaren Formula E and Maserati MSG Racing, who join the Formula E grid for the first time this season.

Fighting Global Warming

Anil Chalamalasetty, Founder of Greenko Group and Ace Group, expressed his satisfaction after finalizing the partnership with the electric category, the Telangana government and the FIA.

“We are committed to fighting climate change and leading the way for the world.” Greenko will power the entire Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix 2023 event with renewable energy, making it the first Net Zero event of its kind in the world on this scale.

For his part, Alberto Longo, Co-founder and Director of Championships at Formula E, welcomed Greenko as a sponsor of this historic first Formula E race in India.

“The 2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix promises to be a historic event for motorsport fans across India and for fans around the world. Greenko will have a global platform to showcase its sustainability credentials when Hyderabad joins iconic cities of the world like London, Berlin, Diriyah, Mexico City, Rome and Monaco to host the pinnacle of electric car racing,” he pointed out.
