The second round of the WES World e-Bike Series was held in Bologna, Italy, where motorcycling World Champion Dani Pedrosa was on site to test the race track, as well as spend time with fans who came to the area to share with the two-wheeled legend.

With Pedrosa giving his approval of the track, the double date took place in Italian territory where Jérôme Gilloux dominated from start to finish the weekend of action, obtaining all the possible points. On the other hand, the women’s section divided honors between Justine Tonso and Nicole Göldi.

“It was a really difficult race, very close over the finish but fun, although it was not easy to overtake on this circuit, but somehow it was possible,” asserted Göldi, winner of Race #1 in Bologna.

“An amazing race, I really enjoyed this track ideal for electric bikes, very technical, where controlling the speed and the lines was not easy. I had a little problem on the track but I was able to handle it in a calm way, I took the right part without losing speed,” Gilloux sentenced before highlighting what he liked most about the circuit. “I loved this track, which is fast, with long descents and difficult to climb. I’m happy to win the second round of the season here in Bologna.

On the other hand, Tonso commented on what the second race was like for her, given that in the first one she was left empty-handed after breaking the seat of her electrified bike. “Qualifying was good, I felt great, even though the race conditions were tricky and muddy, but it’s fun for me because I’m from the south of France, so I seem to quite like the weather and these conditions,” she said with a laugh before highlighting the incident in Race #1. “It’s like a little revenge (winning Race #2) for my broken saddle, so I’m quite happy.”
