The unveiling of the official eSkootr Championship rider roster has gone viral. 30 fully qualified professionals will be part of a new page in sustainable scooter and sports history, and Tre Whyte’s name is rightly on it.

A 28-year-old Briton, a World Class medalist at BMX discipline (bronze at the 2014 World Cup) and with a lot of ambition, he will be at the service of eSC during the first season of the 100% electric scooter category, where he will demonstrate why he has been selected after intense testing, trials and training sessions.

“After almost six months of testing, it’s amazing to say that I will be competing in eSC. When I spoke to friends and family about the series, they were all incredibly positive and see how exciting it will be, so it’s a great feeling to know that I’ll be part of the start line when the division kicks off at Printworks London in May,” said Tre Whyte via a press release revealed by eSkootr Championship.

Leaving behind the excitement of being chosen, Whyte revealed that one of the factors that has become complicated was adapting to standing, reaching high speeds without being seated is something he never experienced at his main discipline, therefore, the physical challenge it represents has been interesting for him.

“I come from a BMX background, so adapting to being standing when racing has taken some getting used to. The races only last a few minutes, but the demands that the eSkootr places on your body require a lot of strength and balance.”

Undoubtedly, eSkootr Championship’s diversity of cultures and disciplines is part of the unique element that only this sport has. Different perspectives and various concepts, but at the end of the day, they will come together to make the most out of the S1-X.

“All the drivers have been training and are constantly pushing themselves to improve. However, we all come from professional sporting backgrounds, so I’m sure we’ll see something come out of the competitive side when we’re on the track,” he finished.
