The roles to control the most important aspects of the eSkootr Championship (eSC) are taking shape. Recently, the category announced Silvia Bellot as Race Director and Sporting Director, who will bring all her experience gained over the years and place it at the service of the championship.

Bellot has been the first and only woman to be a Steward and Race Director at the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). A resume that highlights more than 10 years of experience in important categories such as Formula 1 (F1), Formula 2 (F2) and Formula 3 (F3), Formula E, World Rally Championship (WRC), World Touring Car Cup (WTCC).

She also plays a role in highlighting the work of women in motorsport, serving as an ambassador for the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission. More and more women are joining the various sporting disciplines to achieve gender equality and equal conditions.

Silvia Bellot’s job at eSC will be to ensure compliance with the sporting and technical regulations of the championship, manage race control, track safety and sporting procedures. Regulating the correct operation of the electric scooter division to meet the highest performance standards will also be among her duties.

“The opportunity to help create an entirely new sport and shape a racing series that has a desire to use its platform for a broader purpose is what really attracted me to eSC. The championship’s mission is to deliver a sport at the highest level, with sustainability and accessibility at its core,” said Bellot.

“Its values are those that are important to me in my sporting roles and commitment to promoting women’s participation in motorsport. The co-founders have assembled an impressive team of experienced professionals to deliver on this vision and I am delighted to be working with them,” she continued.

Hrag Sarkissian, Co-Founder and CEO of eSkootr Championship, was pleased with Bellot’s arrival to the championship. “As our sports and race director, Silvia’s expertise and experience will be crucial as we implement regulations to ensure we deliver exciting on-track events while maintaining the highest levels of safety and fairness for our riders.”
