Aiming to be a key player ahead of the arrival of Gen3 in ABB FIA Formula E, Envision Racing and Jaguar TCS Racing have agreed a multi-year agreement that will take effect from the 2022-2023 season, with the intention of joining forces on what will be the next step towards the evolution of the electric single-seater racing car.

Accordingly, Jaguar will provide Envision with a new high-voltage electric power unit, as well as the inverter, transmission, cooling system, housing and suspension. The two brands fully identify with each other, which is an important reason for the alliance. In addition, both are based in Great Britain.

Sharing a winning experience will be an important key to the development of the teams for the future. The agreement will run from 2022 to 2026. Between Envision Racing and Jaguar TCS Racing there are 15 wins and more than 40 podium finishes, placing the technical expertise of the two at service and benefit of the parties involved.

“I am proud to announce that we will be providing Envision Racing with our Jaguar powertrain in Gen3. They are one of the most competitive teams in Formula E and it is an honor they have chosen to use our technology for this new era of the category. We look forward to work and more success together in the future,” said James Barclay, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Motorsport.

Similarly, sustainable commitment will continue to be the main flag of both brands. On one side, the Reimagine strategy of Jaguar Land Rover, while on the other is Race Against Climate Change of Envision Racing, in order to work towards a cleaner, more sustainable and greener outlook.

“Jaguar and its factory team have been one of our fiercest competitors at Formula E since joining the Championship in 2016. The team’s advanced powertrain technology and overall commitment to their Formula E program made them the most attractive option for us,” said Sylvain Filippi, CEO and CTO of Envision Racing.
