Over the past few months, eSkootr Championship (eSC) has been taking shape ahead of the first season, assigning different people to take responsibility on specific areas to develop the category. Kate Robson is one of them, as she has been appointed as Head of Programs.

Her main function will be to manage diverse Driver Development Programs for experienced, professional and novice drivers. She will also be part of the eSC Commission, a group of research, education and policy experts to improve the sport, and set an overall example from within the division to beyond its borders.

Robson will be responsible for developing eSC’s safety, technological relevance and sustainability outward, i.e., everything the first category of electrified scooters can bring to the micro-mobility sector, one of the most important areas of the automotive market at urban level.

Undoubtedly, eSkootr bet on Robson for this position because of her extensive administrative resume throughout the sporting world. Back in 2011, she was part of the FIA Institute, providing all her knowledge on development with the intention of improving safety levels in motorsport, leading the Accreditation Program and the network of Regional Training Providers.

She then served as head of the FIA’s Sport Scholarship Program. Now, at eSkootr, she will support the process of selecting the first official drivers for the championship, as well as laying the groundwork to attract the youngest ones, who will be the stars of the future.

“I am very excited to join eSC at such a formative time. It is very rare to have the opportunity to contribute with the creation of a new sport and I am very grateful to be entrusted with such a key part of the category’s sporting ecosystem,” Robson stated on the official release.

“…My previous roles in motorsport development and the relationships I have established, especially at the grassroots of competition, are very relevant here as eSC looks to freshen up racing for a new generation of competitors. It’s such a wonderful and exciting challenge,” she concluded.
