Tesla has been working with special care on the development of the Cybertruck, with autonomous driving being one of the most closely watched aspects, to the extent of having a new Autopilot hardware update to be launched along with the vehicle with the purpose of increasing safety levels by up to 300%, according to the company’s statement.

Tesla Cybertruck has been one of the most popular electric trucks lately, as the materials it uses, the features it has and the mastermind behind it (Elon Musk) have given it a lot of fame; therefore, keeping customers’ expectations high has become more than a necessity for the U.S. firm.

This system will be called Full Self-Driving Computer 2 and will be implemented along with the first official releases of the electrified vehicle, scheduled for 2022, equipped with an internal computer responsible for increasing the passengers’ safety through the Autopilot, raising the figures up to 300% when compared to what can be done by a person.

Cameras with high resolutions will be part of the updates included by the sustainable car manufacturer, along with the necessary software to execute these improvements. The public had to wait for Tesla to reach an optimal level, since 2017 ideas were practically discarded after the rampant advancement of technology.

Elon Musk claims that the upgrade will be 4 times safer than the previous one, making Tesla Cybertruck rely on higher expectations. This vehicle has several orders (over one million) including police departments and customers interested on enjoying this technology, strength and robustness.

This unique electric vehicle is 5.881 meters long, 2.027 meters wide and 1.905 meters high with angular shapes, rectangular wheel arches and off-road tires are part of the external view denoting robustness. Furthermore, solar panels are located on the roof to assist in recharging the battery.

The Tesla Cybertruck windows will be armored and withstand any kind of impact, according to Musk, although it is impossible not to remember the incident during the vehicle’s presentation where, after a series of hits, one of the windows collapsed. However, the company explained why it happened, and assured that it will not be repeated.

Mechanically, the truck has an electric motor with rear propulsion, providing more than 400 kilometers of autonomy, and accelerating from 0 to 96 kilometers per hour in 6.5 seconds.
