The Artic X Prix will have a new battle in the Extreme E. There, Rosberg X Racing and X44 will fight at the top with the intention of winning the dispute over the Artic X Prix. However, for this race, they will have to fight hard, not only against each other but against three rivals who are ready to reach the next level.

Andretti United Extreme E, ACCIONA | Sainz XE Team and Xite Energy Racing are in the middle of the standings, wanting to achieve higher goals, and Greenland seems to be the right place for them, so action, competition, adrenaline and speed will join them during the weekend surrounded by the freezing weather.

In the fourth place is Andretti (37 units) with their pilots Timmy Hansen and Catie Munnings, who are aware that a good result in the Artic X Prix will make them take off a bit. Their season so far has been a climb and low, because in Saudi Arabia they was amazing, but in Senegal they suffered a lot.

“Saudi was a dream event for us but in Senegal, we got unlucky – the conditions were tough and very different from those in Saudi where the bumps were more predictable”, says Munnings.

On the other hand, Xite Energy (37 points) with Oliver Bennett and Christine Giampaoli Zonca come from starring in a real pitched battle against Veloce Racing in Senegal, being very close to sneaking into the last race of the day, finishing in the sixth place putting 17 points in their pockets.

Extreme E: Intense battle in Greenland

“I’m super excited about competing at the Artic X Prix in Greenland. The course will be very challenging from what I’ve seen and with one point covering three places in the standings it’s going to be the biggest fight we’ve had on our hands all season”, says Bennett.

ACCIONA | Sainz XE Team will be performing in Greenland with their both drivers, Carlos Sainz and Laia Sanz. They stopped the clock in very good times, more than one occasion they painted purple in Senegal, but mechanical problems were present and prevented an outcome that could have been better in the race.

“To be honest, Greenland is an unknown territory for us” Laia continues. “We have little information about the surface and the layout, but our goal is to give our best and get to the Final. The target is to be among the best and to show our true speed”, says Laia Sainz.

This weekend the Extreme E will have its third X-Prix (28/29 August) in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.
