Extreme E is gearing up for a season finale of high caliber, where the battle to decide the first season champion was served for the last stage: Jurassic X Prix, to be held from 18 to 19 December in Dorset, UK, and there, X44 is one of the main protagonists for glory.

Created by the seven times Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton, X44’s objectives have been at the top at all times, and no wonder, since its driver line-up speaks for itself: Cristina Gutiérrez and Sébastien Loeb. Both will have to give everything to win the championship on the military track, although they have a more complicated panorama.

With 113 units, they are in second place behind Rosberg X Racing. Yes, battles seen on track between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton at Formula 1 moved to Extreme E through their respective teams. RXR is 16 points ahead of X44 (129). However, nothing is decided yet.

X44 has been solid throughout the campaign but without luck on their side at decisive moments. The drivers have been consistent during free practices and semifinals, but when the time comes for the final race, things don’t go quite right: punctures, bumps and accidents have ruined their chances of victory.

Despite this, Gutierrez and Loeb remain very close to Rosberg X Racing. In Dorset they will have to take risks and look for demolishing rhythms that will put them in the final, most likely with RXR. There, they will have to be cautious but aggressive, as they cannot under any circumstances let Johan Kristoffersson and Molly Taylor take advantage.

About X44

X44, formed by seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, and named in reference to Lewis’ racing number, will provide opportunities for the next generation of drivers, engineers and technicians while highlighting the most serious problems facing the planet and solutions that everyone can be a part of. Instead of getting behind the wheel himself, Lewis will use his role as founder to put his learnings into practice and create a dedicated and competitive team.
