The current season has already witnessed the action of its first race, therefore, know everything about the format, calendar, riders, teams, circuits and all the details regarding the series.

The discipline was born in Monaco during 2019 in order to organize and promote the first international competition of exclusively electric bicycles. After a debut campaign that far exceeded expectations, the series received the title of the first and only E-Mountain Bike UCI E-Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup in 2020.

WES UCI E-Mountain Bike World Cup 2022: Race Format

WES World e-Bike Series races during weekends under a double race format (one per day), where points are harvested separately. To establish the riders’ order, a qualirace is held prior to each race. Men and women compete together, promoting gender equality and highlighting the talent of the discipline, but under different classifications.

The route of each circuit is known moments before each race, where different types of terrain and surfaces are combined to generate greater difficulty. Mountains, coasts and urban areas make up the competition calendar, where besides fighting for the title of champion, the riders also have the option of winning individual prizes, such as:

Pole Position powered by Raspini: The rider who achieves the best time during the qualifying round and accumulates the most, will receive a prize of 1,000 euros at the end of the season.

Magneti Marelli Checkstar Power Lap: It will be awarded to the rider who achieves the fastest lap during race two of each event, and likewise, whoever records the most fastest laps will win 1,000 euros.

WES Holeshot: It will be awarded to the fastest rider at the start of each race after passing through the first corner.
