The shocking sensation of flying with a first-person view becomes a reality with the simulator that has just launched the mind-blowing technology series “Drone Racing League” (DRL), which is now available for the Playstation 4.

The series’ drone and simulation engineers were tasked with building the prototype with realistic drone components, physics, and aerodynamics, allowing players to fly, build, and race drones exactly like a real-life experience.

As detailed by the official Playstation portal, the prototype brings together the most outstanding pilots in the world and has 54 training missions that will teach players to “float”, “head” “wink”, in addition to other skills to maintain the drone in competition.

Key factors to the simulator

Playstation explains that the objective of the simulator is based on overcoming the missions that undoubtedly represent a great challenge for those who are immersed in this fascinating experience.

The pilots will get feedback in real time to make the necessary adjustments on the fly and, once the corresponding tutorial presented by the prototype is completed, the user will be able to pilot drones in first person at high speed, experiencing a real sensation.

Tools to use the simulator

In the publication made by Playstation, it explains that through the interactive platform the player has the option of choosing between real drones piloted by the best in the world or designing a drone to their liking through “thousands of different combinations, customizing everything, from size, weight, thrust, prop colors and more.”

In this experience offered by the Drone Racing League simulator, the user also has the possibility to choose between thousands of motors, batteries and accessories, licensed by the main drone manufacturers, to control airflow, set maximum speeds and control acceleration rates from launch to flight. In addition, they will be able to unlock more than 50 epic drone skins. Crazy!

The interaction between the players is another detail that does not leave out the prototype by allowing players to make their unique drones public to share them with other users of the Drone Racing League SIM community as well, or keep them hidden.

The world of gamers and Simracing undoubtedly has in this simulator an option to live a great virtual experience on an increasingly digitized planet.
