After a long journey for a few years, perhaps the best that a university student can experience, the moment of truth arrives: Putting all the knowledge obtained along the way to the test to summarize it in a single presentation or project called thesis degree, something that generates mixed feelings.

Nervousness, insecurity but also emotion, are part of the bundle of emotions that a university student can feel when he has to arrive before a room full of professors with an innovative idea that meets all the requirements demanded by the institution where he is about to graduate. However, once approved, the best is yet to come.

On this, Ryan Schlotthauer can perfectly attest, given that he is a design student who faces his thesis, doing it in a great way after presenting a great idea that soon left the walls of the university to be known by the world, it is a 100% sustainable vehicle called Höga inspired by Renault and Ikea.

Renault + Ikea = Höga

Schlotthauer lives at the College Creative Studies, Detroit, as a design student, but introducing Höga may be life-changing. This particularly small vehicle is environmentally friendly in its entirety inspired by the mobility commandments put forward by the French brand Renault, and the furniture corporation, Ikea.

Höga aims to be totally useful, preserve the environment and mean a minimum cost for those who wish to purchase it, but the best of all is that it is disassembled as if it were an Ikea furniture, but at the same time it has enough space to bring two people on board, and guess what? It is made with 100% recyclable parts.

“It’s not small, it’s just designed efficiently”

Ryan Schlotthauer

Höga is made up of a total of 374 pieces, as if it were a LEGO collectible. It measures 1.8 meters high by 2.3 meters long and 1.56 meters wide, managing to reduce to practically nothing once it is disassembled. However, it depends on the needs of the user, it can be adapted to the situation or requirement that is demanded at that time.

For example, Höga has two front seats and a rear cargo area, but it can be disassembled to remove that configuration and have a set of four seats, making this piece a real ingenuity on the part of Ryan Schlotthauer, who will surely approve with outstanding rating this particularly unique project.
