FIM E-Xplorer World Cup, a global series of state-of-the-art off-road electric motorcycle competitions, revealed that Oslo, Norway, will host the second stage of the 2024 season agreed to 5 rounds, where the city will host the action from May 3 to 4.

Thus, Norway fits into the series’ goal, as it figures as a global leader in promoting sustainability and the adoption of renewable energy with a commitment to eliminate all greenhouse gas emissions within its borders by 2050, setting an example for other nations.

“We are delighted to announce that Norway will host the second round of the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup. As a global advocate for sustainability, particularly in electric vehicles, the commitment to drive a better future is exemplary, given that over 80% of new vehicles sold in the country are electric,” said Carina Munte, Co-Founder of E-Xplorer.

The Norwegian Motorsport Federation’s initiative to introduce electric bikes in the country elevates its plans to align with the nation’s sustainable goals. Thus, located on the western outskirts of Oslo, the event will take place around the Telenor Arena, taking advantage of the surrounding space to design a specialized track for the occasion.

“We are very proud to host this first FIM E-Xplorer World Cup in Norway, and with this event we mark our official entry into a new era of motorsport,” commented Emilie Westbye, President of the Norwegian Motorsport Federation.

“Electricity is the future, and with this inclusive, sustainable and technological event, we introduce the Norwegian population to a new way of racing. The growing generation of athletes with new ideas will be here and we look forward to welcoming them and welcoming them to the future,” she concluded.
