After an incredible season in which he achieved his first victory in Berlin, Oliver Rowland embarks on his third campaign with Nissan e.dams to once again accompany the experienced driver Sebastien Buemi.

The British-born began his karting career at age seven and spent a decade racing in various series in the UK before coming to Formula Renault.

He earned a spot on the starting grid in the 2010 Formula Renault UK Winter Series with CRS Racing. At the same time, the British driver received funding from the Racing Steps Foundation, helping him get into single-seater racing.

Moving to Formula Renault 3.5 in 2013, Rowland finished his campaign in fourth place with seven podiums and, in 2015, he won the championship title with Fortec Motorsports. That same year, he made his Formula E debut with Mahindra Racing, replacing driver Nick Heidfield at the Punta del Este E-Prix, and finished in 13th place.

With second place in the team championship, in addition to six podium finishes, six pole positions and 16 qualifying appearances in Super Pole, the team ended the season with a victory in the last race in the New York weekend, which was achieved by Rowland’s teammate, Buemi.

In his second season with Nissan e.dams, Rowland achieved a consistent run of points finals in the 2019-20 season, culminating with his first win in the penultimate round of the season in the Berlin final.

Heading into his third season in electric street racing, Rowland continues his strong partnership with Nissan e.dams alongside Sebastien Buemi.

The speedy Brit will try to maintain his formidable progress as he aspires to claim the first world title in the 2020-21 season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
