Lucas Di Grassi has already entered the history of Formula E even though the category has only been on the track for a short period of time. The brazilian played a pivotal role in the development of the car that was used in the first season because he was the first driver to enter the series and won the inaugural race in 2014 at the Beijing E-Prix.

He is considered the most successful driver in the six seasons and has formed a fundamental key with the ABB FIA Formula E Championship together with the founder and CEO of the series, Alejandro Agag.

Di Grassi became the first man in history to drive a racing car on the Arctic ice pack, by participating in the incredible Project Ice adventure in 2016.

He finished in third position during the first season while in the second, after leading the entire championship, he ended up yielding to pressure from Nelson Piquet Jr. However, he retaliated in the third season after a 10-points comeback to win the championship title 2016-17 in Montreal.

At the age of 10, Di Grassi began his racing career and won a series of karts in São Paulo in 1997. Several single-seater categories followed, as well as victory at the Macau Grand Prix in 2005.

He was runner-up overall in the GP2 series and in 2010 he even raced a season in Formula 1 with Virgin. In 2012, Lucas di Grassi became a driver for the Audi factory and reached the podium three times in the tough 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Off the track, the Brazilian is CEO of the racing car project, Roborace, as well as founder and CEO of his own new e-bike business in Brazil.
