As part of its “Hydrogen Wave” strategy, introduced a few weeks ago by Hyundai, where they revealed their vision of a hydrogen future society, next-generation fuel cell systems and diverse applications for industries beyond automotive, the brand announces a new concept rescue vehicle based on clean energy.

It is called RHGV (Rescue Hydrogen Generator Vehicle), a hydrogen-powered vehicle that not only reaches remote locations, but also serves as an electric generator to power zero-emission vehicles and other facilities.

The innovative car aims to bring hydrogen technology everywhere over the next few decades. Hydrogen Wave also unveiled the possibilities offered by the use of fuel cells in both commercial and conventional light-duty vehicles.

Energy Source

The RHGV is a highly useful model that can supply clean energy to emergency assistance vehicles for remote and off-road areas. It is equipped with a generator system that can supply electricity to cars, devices and facilities.

The portable charger for electric cars offers single-phase 220 V and three-phase 380 V power supply simultaneously. Thanks to this, the vehicle can increase autonomy for on-site emergency service, optimizing the operating time of the machines.

It has a very robust design and unprecedented mechanical capabilities. This new technology will be available from 2023 and will allow Hyundai to manufacture much smaller fuel cells, but with greater power output in order to create new, stronger cars. The batteries will have a capacity of 100 and 300 kW, something unprecedented on the market.

It is important to note that the 100 kW battery is 30% more compact, so it has a size 70% smaller than the current generation. The 200 kW battery was designed for commercial vehicles and has a volume similar to the current NEXO system, but with twice the power.
