Formula E announced the tentative schedule for the seventh season. The action will begin this February 26 in Saudi Arabia, and then visit Europe (Rome, Valencia and Monaco), Africa (Marrakech) and close in South America.

First it will be a return to the Italian capital Rome and the EUR district for Round number three on April 10.

As announced by the electric vehicle category on its official website, round 4 arrives with a new venue with the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, where pre-season tests have been carried out during the last three harvests.

This first competitive Spanish race will be on April 24 and will use a new circuit configuration specially designed for Formula E.

Next stops

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will then head to Monte Carlo for Round 5 and the Monaco E-Prix on May 8, marking the fourth biennial race in the principality.

For the sixth round, Formula E returns to the scene in the Atlas Mountains in Marrakech on May 22, competing in Africa on the international Moulay El Hassan circuit for the fifth consecutive season.

Trip to South America

Following stops in Monaco, the championship will move to Chile with the Santiago E-Prix for rounds 7 and 8 on June 5 and 6.

The current health and safety conditions make the specific organization of the prestigious E-Prix de Paris too complex in season 7. Therefore, it has been agreed with the city to postpone that venue for the edition of season 8.

The Formula E races in Sanya and Seoul will not take place in March and May, respectively, as originally planned. They have been postponed and a decision on these events will be confirmed with the rest of the calendar in early spring, Formula E reported.

The spotlights on the pandemic

The organizers of the competition will be monitoring the development of COVID-19 and is in constant communication with its community of teams, manufacturers, partners, broadcasters and host cities.

All calendar updates are dependent on travel restrictions as well as local government protocols and are subject to approval by the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) World Motor Sports Council.
