Few opportunities come along to race side-by-side with living legends. However, for young Swedish driver Klara Andersson, that opportunity became a reality when she went up against none other than nine-time world champion Sebastien Loeb in Extreme E.

Precisely, Andersson shared her impressions of this unique experience in an interview with the 100% electric off-road category. “I still remember when I competed against Sebastien Loeb in Sardinia,” she expressed to start what it represented for her.

The young driver highlighted the opportunity to analyze data and compare her performance with Loeb’s, an experience she described as “very impressive.” Sitting next to a competitor of the Frenchman’s stature and breaking down the details of the race offered a perspective and learning that is hard to find elsewhere.

“I still remember when I raced against Sebastien Loeb in Sardinia, and I was able to sit down and analyze the data with a nine-time world champion and compare myself to him. That was very impressive,” said the Swede.

Sebastien Loeb has become a benchmark for generations of drivers, inspiring those who aspire to achieve greatness in motorsport, where his presence in Extreme E provides an opportunity for emerging drivers like Andersson to grow and learn.

In this way, Extreme E has managed to create an interesting combination of generational and knowledge exchange in the series, as through direct interaction with established figures in the sport, young talent can accelerate their development.

Last but not least, the legacy of Sebastien Loeb and the next generation of talent such as Klara Andersson ensure an exciting future for Extreme E and motorsport in general.
