The E1 Series, the world’s first electric boat racing competition, announced that Miami will host the grand finale of the 2025 UIM E1 World Championship in December 2025, establishing the city as a hub for sustainable and high-tech sports.

Rodi Basso, co-founder and CEO of E1 Series, shared his excitement about bringing the championship to Miami, describing it as “a vibrant and energetic city, perfect for our visionary sport that combines innovation, sustainability, and entertainment.”

With its iconic waterfront, Miami was chosen as the ideal stage for the season’s conclusion, offering a spectacular backdrop for the final races.

An Event Celebrating Sustainable Mobility

The E1 Series stands out as a pioneer in the electrification of maritime competitions. The RaceBirds, the boats used for the competition, are fully electric and represent a technological leap toward a cleaner future for aquatic sports.

The 2025 season will kick off in February, featuring a series of races in various cities around the world. Each stop will allow fans to enjoy the speed and thrilling maneuvers of the RaceBirds while promoting the adoption of sustainable technologies.

Alejandro Agag, president of the E1 Series, emphasized that choosing Miami for the grand finale reflects the city’s commitment to innovation and its aspiration to lead in the realm of sustainable sports. According to Agag, “Miami symbolizes the positive change we aim to promote with the E1 Series.”
