As is customary at each Formula E stop, the Diriyah race will have the name of its official sponsor. In that sense, the organizers of the double-header in Saudi Arabia announced the lifestyle company “CORE” as the main partner.

The CORE Diriyah 2023 E-Prix will start this Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28. It will be the Middle East debut of the GEN3, the fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient electric racing car ever built.

As title sponsor, CORE will take center stage on the 21-turn, 2.495-kilometer circuit located within the historic city walls of the UNESCO World Heritage site on the outskirts of Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.

As the only night race on the ABB FIA Formula E FIA World Championship calendar, the E-Prix CORE Diriyah 2023 will be illuminated with energy-efficient LED technology.

Alberto Longo, Co-Founder and Championship Director of Formula E, expressed his satisfaction to have CORE as the title sponsor of the event in Saudi Arabia.

“The CORE Diriyah E-Prix 2023 is a highlight of our racing calendar and, together with CORE and our valued local partners, we will welcome a worldwide television audience for the incredible spectacle of night racing of GEN3 cars for the first time,” he added.

For his part, Carlo Boutagy, Founder and CEO of CBX, official promoter of the CORE Diriyah 2023 E-Prix Diriyah, was pleased to have such a luxurious brand associated with the race.

“We are looking forward to seeing the exciting new, lighter and faster GEN3 cars on the track under the spotlight in Saudi Arabia at this year’s event,” he noted.

For Mohammed Hefni, Group Managing Director at CORE, it is a great honor to be the headline racing partner.

“Through this world-class event, CORE continues its commitment to play a role in realizing Vision 2030 by contributing to improving the quality of life for individuals and families, creating jobs, diversifying economic activity and elevating the status of Saudi Arabian cities to rank among the best cities in the world.”
