“Charging at Porsche”: the New Portal to find out Everything about the Exciting World of Electromobility

Considering the high centimeterage that electromobility is reaching worldwide, the main brands from the automotive industry have opted to create specific divisions focused on an interesting communication strategy for keeping citizens informed about the energy transition that the sector is undergoing.

In this case, the German giant Porsche launched a new microsite offering important content related to electric vehicle charging. 

The brand decided to take this step due to the market boom, which points to the fact that by 2030, 80 percent of cars will be powered by electrified engines.

In that sense, Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche assured that there is a significant increase in electric mobility and high-performance charging infrastructure. 

Just this week, IONITY, company in charge of creating a network of ultra-fast chargers compatible with most electric cars, announced a major expansion of its chain, which is already the largest in Europe, so Porsche’s proposal looks timely to provide details about this news.

On the new portal, users will find notes of interest about the world of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. Contents linked to the optimization of the energy supply network, Porsche’s proposals with technological cars such as the Taycan, which increasingly presents connectivity and range updates, company alliances for the manufacture of batteries and other innovations are addressed in the “newsroom”.

A Path Carved Out

Porsche’s trajectory in electromobility has not been merely blowing and making bottles, but has been part of a way of looking at its operations in a different way for several years to contribute to the protection of the environment. For example, in Latin America, the company has been offering plug-in hybrid cars for more than a decade.

This strong drive towards electromobility is part of the efforts made by the company, which has made significant progress, such as a 75 percent reduction in CO2 emissions at its German plants since 2014.

Among the goals set by Porsche is that by 2025, one out of every two of the brand’s vehicles sold worldwide will have an electric or hybrid propulsion, while pursuing a production free of environmental impact.
