Bridgestone Corporation was named by the FIA at the World Motor Sport Council in Baku as the sole future tire supplier for the ABB FIA Formula E ABB World Championship from the 2026-2027 Season.

The selection falls under its sustainable global strategy for motorsports. Through these agreements with the world’s top motorsport body, Bridgestone will continue to develop and refine sustainable technology and accelerate innovation.

Under the mission of “serving society with superior quality,” Bridgestone is dedicated to shaping and being essential to the future of mobility through the products it supplies as part of its global sustainable motorsports initiatives.

The company’s commitment extends beyond the racetrack and aims to make a significant contribution to building a more sustainable society.

Shu Ishibashi, Global CEO and Representative Managing Director of Bridgestone Corporation, noted that motorsports is Bridgestone’s passion.

“I am delighted to be able to announce our return to an FIA World Championship this year as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of our motorsports activities,” Ishibashi said.

“Continuing this legacy in the world of motorsports, we are very excited to be the sole FIA tire supplier to Formula E from the 2026-2027 season,” he added.

Bridgestone aims to develop sustainable products for premium motorsports globally. At the core of the supply agreement with the FIA will be the expansion and enhancement of the “ENLITEN®” tire product technology, enabling “maximum customization.”

Formula E begins its 10th Season this Saturday, January 13 in Mexico City, where 11 teams and 22 drivers will seek glory.
