The demand for electric vehicles in Europe continues to grow. People are gradually being encouraged to change their fossil fuel cars, opting to take home a future means of transportation, ahead of the total zero-emission transition planned for the year 2050.

According to data provided by Jato Dynamics, the top five best-selling models in Europe during August were: Volkswagen ID.3, Tesla Model 3, Volkswagen ID.4, Renault Zoe and Ford Mustang Mach-E. Clearly a dominance of the German manufacturer stands out with two cars among the top 5.

The ID.3 model almost reached 8,000 units sold (7,958), making it the first choice of users over the past month, and no wonder, as its 550-kilometer range is quite a temptation along with a battery pack that can range from 45 kWh to 77 kWh.

The most popular vehicle of Elon Musk could not be out of the list. Tesla again positioned the Model 3 for August (7,826 units). In fact, it is the best-selling electrified car so far in 2021, according to the data company, proving that the American manufacturer remains a benchmark for the sector.

E Volkswagen ID.4 climbs to the last step of the podium with 4,611 vehicles marketed. From 148 to 299 horsepower can be obtained from this 100% sustainable crossover model, and just like the ID.3, it provides more than 500 kilometers of autonomy for peace of mind when making long trips.

Fourth place goes to the Renault Zoe (4,045 units), a model that managed to sneak into the hearts of consumers thanks to its compact size and high performance. 136 horsepower, 390 kilometers range and 52 kWh battery are part of the features that the Italian car manufacturer made available on the market.

Finally, a classic that resurfaced sustainably could not be missed. The Ford Mustang Mach-E (3,647 units) has been the whim many have made a reality. Its attractive and sporty aerodynamic shape is tempting speed lovers who want to be included into the transition to sustainable mobility, and therefore, the American brand’s model is a great option.
